ASSISTANT PASTOR
Elder Tracie Wyche is the daughter of Laura Mae Richard Holloway Washington and the late Rev. Rosco Holloway. She was born on January 27, 1973 in New Iberia, Louisiana. At a young age, Elder Wyche sought after God. During her adolescent years, she realized that she was a dreamer and that God spoke to her in her dreams. In the 1980’s Elder Wyche was baptized at the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Searcy, Arkansas where the late Rev. T.J. Williams served as the pastor. At the age of 12, she was baptized by the Holy Spirit. From that point on God tried her in the fire. During her teenage years up into her young adult life, Elder Wyche stepped up to whatever obstacle that was placed in her way. She became a mother when her own mother got sick, a friend and sister to her two younger siblings. As she grew in the knowledge of the Lord, God revealed to her, her assignment. While attending St. Moses Baptist Church in Sorrell, Louisiana, God chose Elder Wyche to be one of those He uses to spread His gospel. On the fourth Sunday in December of 2007, God called Elder Wyche and she accepted the call. God placed Elder Wyche under several men of God before being under her current pastor. Those men who played an important part in her life were: the late Rev. T.J. Williams of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Searcy, Arkansas, the late Dr. Rev. A.D. Teno, the late Rev. Edward Jordan Sr., and Bishop B.K. Stevens of the St. Moses Baptist Church of Sorrell, Louisiana. At St. Moses she served as a van driver, youth Sunday school teacher, youth choir director, adult choir director, youth drill team instructor, liturgical dancer, adult drill instructor, pastor’s secretary, daytime church secretary, member of First Lady Appreciation committee, member of Pastor’s Aide committee, and a member of the Feeding ministry. After being lead by the Spirit of the Lord to move to another place, Elder Wyche found herself at New Life Christian Fellowship Church in Four Corners, Louisiana where Apostle Derrick M. Wilson, Sr. was the Pastor. Under Apostle Wilson, Elder Wyche began to exercise the gift that God gave to her. There she served as a minister in training. After the dissolution of the New Life Christian Fellowship Church the Spirit of God prompted her to move to New Zorah Baptist Church in Morgan City, Louisiana where she found herself under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Terry Lee Joseph, Sr. In 2009, Elder Wyche was again moved by the Spirit of the Lord. She joined up with the Shepherd Missionary Baptist Church, Inc. out of Stone Mountain, Georgia where Elder John Lee Garrett, Sr. is the pastor. On December 9, 2010, under Elder Garrett, Elder Wyche was licensed to preach the word of God. Under Elder Garrett, Elder Wyche continued to mature in the Word of God. On Sunday May 25, 2012, she was ordained. In 2013 after being joined together in Holy Matrimony to Bishop Joseph Wyche III, Elder Wyche joined Temple of God Ministries where she serves faithfully alongside her husband as the assistant pastor, as they work together to prepare all of God’s children for His kingdom and to live a healthy and prosperous life while waiting for Christ’s return.
